You can add bass to your car audio system without taking up much space with the Sound Ordnance 8PTD powered subwoofer. It's a compact all-in-one unit that you can place in your trunk or under a seat. It can even fit behind the seat of a pickup truck. All powered subs come with a built-in amplifier. This one features a 125- watt Class D amplifier that lives inside the enclosure. This design makes installation pretty straightforward since it's just one piece of equipment.
The B-8PTD features an aluminum cone woofer that holds its shape no matter how hard you drive it. Sound controls are on the chassis making it much easier to tweak the low-pass filter, phase switch, or bass boost. There's a separate wired remote that allows you to make on the fly gain adjustments as well. And the B-8PTD has both preamp and speaker-level inputs so you can connect it to any system-even a factory stereo. If you have any questions about powered subwoofers please give Crutchfield a call.
